My Two Little Pumpkins

They sure are cute, aren't they? :-) I did this LO last night - I guess that was one advantage to Tony being out of town last night - I was able to knock this out all at once, lol.

I had a fun time using new products and mixing in some that are a little older. PP is Pink Paislee, Scenic Route, K&Co, Making Memories; tags are Daisy D's; chipboard is Basic Grey; letters are AC Thickers; scalloped border is Sassafrass Lass and rub-on's are Heidi Grace and K&Co. Pumpkin trim is Joann's - how adorable is that??

Calling all Marylanders!

So, a lot of people know that my dear hubby was the Store Manager of Recollections before they went out of business (yes, every scrapbooker's dream occupation for her hubby, lol). Although I miss Recollections like you wouldn't believe (as does Tony as he was a kick-butt manager if I must say so myself!), he and I both made some dear friends as a result of his working there. Two of those friends, Kim and Jo, have created Kreative Junkets (http://www.geocities.com/kreativejunkets/) so that the local crops can live on. I attended their first crop last month, and it was a huge success (despite the fact that my son and a metal luggage cart fell on top of my head, hehea). I must say, however, that I have taken a liking to the name that the hotel posted on the Welcome Sign as a mistake - Kreative Junkies! Any Marylanders looking for a great 12-hour crop should come on down! And if you go to the May 10th crop, stop by and say hi to me :-)

One day closer to Monday...

What a weekend! We had a fun, action-packed couple of days, and now i'm ready to catch up on some sleep (which, of course, won't happen, lol). Yesterday, the kids and I met up with my SIL and niece and nephew to go to Maryland Day at my alma mater, U. of Md. It's a family day event with tons of kids activities - we hit up all the inflatable stuff and a really cool bug exhibit. And, of course, the kids had way more sugar then they needed!

Then today we took Noah to see the Backyardigans at the Hippodrome in Baltimore. What a beautiful theatre! My mom watched Chloe so we could spend a day just the 3 of us, and he really enjoyed it (as did we).

So, I feel like i've really got my groove on lately with scrapping, getting lots of LO's done. I've decided to start trying out for design teams, so I can't post some of them here just yet. My New Year's goal was to get published, and now that I've accomplished that (well, I guess I haven't technically accomplished it yet as the magazine hasn't come out yet!), I want to continue going in that direction as well as try for a design team. I decided this is the year to try to "step it up". :-) I will post a LO I just finished, inspired by the upcoming Mother's Day.

Trying this again....

Ok, so I've decided to get this blogging thing going again. This time, instead of a blog that focuses on my kids, I am going to have a blog about me. Of course, my kids and hubby are a big part of me, but I wanted to have my blog be a place to focus on me and my passions. And anyone who knows me knows that my passion is scrapbooking, my passion is creating, my passion is photography. So, what better way to start off my new blog then with some photos of where I create (please keep in mind that disorganization feeds my creativity, lol!)...
