RAK winner!

I decided I needed my little assistant to help me pick the RAK winner. Sooo, I printed out everyone's comments from my RAK thread and put them in one of Chloe's nifty little bowls. She reached in and randomly picked one out, and....
TRISHA is the winner! So, congrats Trisha!! Please e-mail me (stacimtaylor@gmail.com) with your mailing address, and I will get your package out to you.

I also wanted to share the very last layout I made with CMK's February kit. I had so much fun with this kit, and I still have lots of goodies left over, so I am excited that I can make even more with it. This layout is of some photos I took while Chloe and I were in the Sky Cars at Dutch Wonderland in PA. Happy weekend, everyone!!

CMK blog hop here!

It's the 25th (well.... in about 30 minutes anyway ;-), and you know what that means! On the 25th of every month, us DT members at CMK post our reveal layout for the next month's kit. Soooo, without further ado, here is my layout titled, "May I take your order?" using the GORGEOUS March kit! You guys seriously do not want to miss this kit - it is full of lovely lovely goodies including many brand new Jenni Bowlin and Graphic 45 papers.

Don't forget to check out the other CMK DT girls' blogs (links to the left), too!

Oh, and don't forget that you have until Friday to leave me a comment on the previous post for a chance to win a fun RAK
:-) Hope you're all having a great week!

Did someone say RAK?

So, I do believe I promised a RAK, didn't I? :-) As a little thank you to my blog readers, I have a little giveway to celebrate my 100th post the other day. So, just leave me a comment on this thread, and I will randomly pick a person to win this box of goodies:
The box includes the Feb. issue of Scrapbook Trends, the Feb/March issue of Simply Handmade, Jillibean Soup letters, a package of KI Softies, K&Company chipboard letters and Making Memories Sabrina ribbon slides. You can post comments on this post up until Friday (2/27), and I will post a winner that day.

So, I had a very fun and very productive crop yesterday! I so love going to 12-hour crops! I love it because not only do I get to spend an entire day doing one of my very favorite things, but it is a day just for me! My only responsibility for 12 hours is picking out embellishments that will match my papers ;-) I went with two friends/neighbors, and it was also fun catching up with my old Recollections friends who were there, so the social aspect is a huge perk as well!

I completed five layouts, but I can't share two of the layouts that I did yet (for CMK), so I will post those in a few days. Here are two Fancy Pants layouts I did. The first one uses a combo of the On a Whimsy and the Summer Soiree line, as well as a glitter cut. I also added in some Rose Moka yellow letters that matched perfectly:

This next one uses paper from the Summer Soiree line, with some Daily Grind chipboard mixed in:

Finally, this last layout was done just for fun. I played with the gorgeous circular CI paper I had, as well as some new Basic Grey (the Porceline line is gorgeous!). Also used new transparent stickers from American Crafts and a MM frame. That little fabric ballet tab is an older product that i've been holding onto for awhile ;-) I added tulle to the large picture to emphasize Chloe's little leotard/skirt outfit.

Hope that everyone is having a great weekend!!
p.s. don't forget that you can get a closer look at the RAK prize, as well as the other photos by clicking on them :-)

Do you like ribbon?

Luxe is having an amazing ribbon sale right now - you can get three yards of ribbon for $1 or a 20 yard spool for $5! You can check it out here.

I had a nice surprise today - when I got home from work, one of my friends at CMK pointed out to me that Teresa Collins' featured one of my layouts on her blog here - so cool! I also got a happy e-mail from Scrapbook Trends the other day requesting one of my layouts for their July issue. My layout was actually in the hands of Fancy Pants since it was done for CHA, and Jodi was kind enough to mail it off for me :-)

Speaking of Fancy Pants, this is a recent layout I did mixing several lines, including the new Summer Soiree line. That awesome scalloped border stamp is also from the new Summer Soiree stamp set. This LO was also done for the latest prompt up at the Forward Progress blog.

Journaling reads: This life is better then I could have imagined. This life has made me a wife and a mommy, and because of that, I am complete. I am where I want to be in this life, and I am who I want to be. Of course, there's always room for improvement :-)

So, my all day crop is quickly approaching, and I'm anxiously awaiting a box from CMK and Luxe this week - should be perfect timing ;-)

Btw, I forgot to mention in my last post that it was my 100th blog post, wow! I plan to do a RAK to celebrate, so keep an eye out! Happy hump day, everyone!

Happy (early) Valentine's Day!

So, do you guys have any good Valentine's Day plans? We aren't that big into the whole Valentine's Day thing, but we are going to take advantage of the day to have an adult date just for us, whoo! We're planning to do dinner and a movie... nothing too crazy ;-)

Before I show some Valentine's projects I made, I wanted to share this layout I made using CMK's February kit. I used Lisa's Friday Formula for this layout - she posts a new formula every Friday, and all the participants have the chance to win a RAK if you post your layout within the deadline. This layout shows one of Chloe's favorite new drama-queen poses, lol.

Ok, nobody freak out, but I actually made a card! ;-) Cardstock is Bazzill, but everything else (patterned paper, felt, transparent label, stickpins, rub-ons, brads, trim and ribbon) is all Fancy Pants. Sorry for the crappy photo but it was raining outside so I had to take this one inside.

Lastly, I have a Valentine's Day wall hanging that I made also using CMK's awesome February kit. I altered an unfinished double layered wood heart from the craft store, but you could cut out a heart from chipboard, too.
I am going to an all day, 12-hour crop next Saturday (the 21st), and I am sooo excited! I'm going with two friends, so it should be a lot of fun! Hopefully i'll have a lot to share when I return (oh, who am I kidding? I won't have that much to share, lol).

Hope that everyone is having a great week and that you all get some extra hugs and kisses from your loved ones on Saturday!

Check this out!!

Ok, friends, I have to take a minute to brag about my awesome friend Doris. If you don't already know of Doris' amazing work through the American Crafts DT and the Jenni Bowlin Studio DT, then surely you know of her through the scrap mags. Because I know I can't pick up any magazine without seeing her work in it! Anyway, i'm gushing about Doris because not only do I think she is incredibly talented, but she is one of the sweetest, most genuine people i've "met" in the online world.

If you didn't already know, Doris is teaching another class called Product Pizazz 101, and the class starts this Monday! Here is some info:

Product Pizzazz 101 with Doris Sander

Class begins Monday, February 9th!

Each lesson covers the following:
- product usage
- design principle
- craft technique
- use it now challenge--with weekly chances to win goodies

A private class forum for interacting with other participants and Doris.

A private class gallery for sharing your work and seeing what others have done.

Learn more at the live chat on Thursday, February 5th at 9pm EST.

I just registered for the chat myself... hope to see you all there! :-)

P.S. Did anyone notice that I blogged two days in a row?? Wow, this is a record ;-)

Does it get any cuter then this??

Today was the second mommy-and-me class that Chloe and I attended. I really don't think there is anything cuter then seeing a 2 year old in a leotard and ballet shoes. She so LOVES the class, and I'm really excited that I am able to do it with her. I just couldn't resist sharing these photos taken this morning before we left for class.

Hope all is well with all my friends out there in blog-land! :-)
