Happy Mother's Day!

Hope all the mommies out there have an awesome day!!

Finished one of my Guest DT layout's last night for Create My Keepsake using some awesome Inque Boutique stamps. I heat embossed the journaling stamp with Tim Holtz distress powder, and I used a border stamp to distress my pp strip under the photos.

Journaling reads: There are some days that I see myself as not patient enough, not playful enough, not energetic enough, not kind enough, not smart enough, not fun enough, not pretty enough, not good enough. But this is how you see me (photos taken by Noah at 3).

Happy weekend!

This is how my morning started off today:
Which is much better, I might add, then the way it ended last night with Chloe pooping in the tub and Noah being cranky!

Stayed up way too late (as always) working on a DT layout for CMK last night - I plan to finish it today.

Happy Saturday everyone!

When it rains it pours

What a great day today is turning out to be! I just found out that I was chosen as one of the FabFifteen girls on the Luxe Design team! I absolutely love their products, and I am thrilled and honored to have been chosen and to be amongst such great talent! Please check out Luxe's blog here: http://blog.luxedesigns.com/

These are the LO's I submitted for my Luxe DT application:

You are an everything dad

This is a LO I made about Tony - he's such an amazing dad!

Journaling reads: Let’s face it… not all dads were meant to be dads. You, on the other hand, were born to be a daddy. You love kids, even those who aren’t your own. You worked at a daycare center for years and already came to fatherhood with tons of experience in changing diapers, cleaning snotty noses and wiping away tears. Our children adore you. You are the dad who gets down on the floor and plays with them. You tickle them and make them laugh until their sides hurt. You read to them. You go into their fantasy worlds with them. You feed them, you change them, you put them to sleep. You aren’t afraid to show your emotions and constantly tell them how much they are loved. You are the hands-on dad who isn’t afraid to parent. There is nothing you wouldn’t do for them. You are the dad who does it all… you are an everything dad.

Busted!

This recent layout of mine was chosen as Layout of the Day over at Create My Keepsake yesterday :-)

Almost finished with a LO i'm making about Tony and the kids - it's been a work in progress over the last few days as I haven't had more then a few minutes here and there to scrap! I'm excited to get the Inque Boutique stamps to do my Designer of the Month projects. I am not a very experienced stamper, but I've always enjoyed a good challenge!

We had a busy and fun weekend complete with a birthday party, dinner out with the fam, a shopping spree with my mom for me (belated b-day present) and lots of outdoor time during this fantastic spring weather!

Whoo!

I'm proud to announce that I was chosen to be a Guest Designer on Create My Keepsake's (http://www.createmykeepsake.com/) design team for the month of May. I actually entered the LO about my mom that I posted here (Also Known As Mom) for the challenge. The manufacturer that is sponsoring this month is Inque Boutique (http://www.goinque.com/), and I'm super excited to play with their products! I'll be sure to post my design team projects as I make them.

Btw, happy National Scrabooking Day everyone! We actually just got home from a birthday party, and Tony is working today, so no scrapping for me. I'm hoping that next year I can just hole myself up in my scrap room and play - one can hope, right?

Dandelion Fun

Ahh, the joys of childhood. The kids were having a blast picking and blowing the dandelions the other day. Of course, Chloe kept ending up with dandelion seeds in her mouth, but she didn't seem to mind. You can be sure that these pictures will be scrapped soon - I already have ideas as to how I want to create the layout :-)
