My daughter says a new word...

So, at 18 months, Chloe is adding new words to her repertoire every day. Well, the most recent is oatmeal, however, it sounds suspiciously like "eat me"! Given her temperament, it's quite possible that the phrasing is intentional, hehhea! It is the funniest thing! So, of course, it's become my favorite thing to turn into her latest party trick. "Chloe... say oatmeal!" Poor kid.

Since I'm on the subject of funny things my kids say, I have to share this one. The other night, Noah was playing his Star Wars Lego video game (his latest obsession). He asked me to help him get through this one part of the game. I told him I had never played the game before, so I wasn't really sure what I was doing, but that I would try my best to help him. So, he's coaching me along the way, telling me what buttons to push to make the little star wars guy jump, run, etc (nice that i'm taking lessons from a 3 1/2 year old, huh?). Well, I'm getting very proud of myself, as it seemed as though I was taking down the bad guys and moving through the one part of the game rather well. All of a sudden, Noah looks at me and says, "mommy, I think this game is too hard for you" and then takes the controller from my hand! Niiiiiice, kiddo, way to make your mommy feel totally incompetent, lol!

We're having a good weekend. We had a birthday party for one of the kids in the neighborhood yesterday morning and then another birthday party for my step-grandfather last night at a restaurant. Afterwards, all 19 of us came back to my house. The kids had a blast running around all over the place, and it was so nice to see my family that came in from out of town. Today we have a birthday party out by my parents, so we're going to make a day of it.

I have another Daisy D's layout to share that I did for my DT work for Create My Keepsake. I'm almost done with another one, too, which I'll hopefully finish up tonight. It's so cool that this "Chloe Marie" line can be used for scrapping girls and boys.

I used the Daisy D's letter stickers as masks. Journaling talks about my son's happy, loving, goofy nature. He has always been such a fun, upbeat kid... I hope he always stays that way!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!
